Round and round and round,
A scavenger hunt dragging right across town.
Like a god,
I build worlds
For furs and for fins
And I make some mistakes -
Those mistakes cost-ed them
So we celebrate with pizza,
Mourning Phish and some mice -
Short strings so vibrant,
Those fallible lives.
You can't dwell on the past,
Feigning a great loss.
Make rounds
And go 'round,
Checking score, price and tanks;
Tear their world asunder…
Just to build it again.

This Ninja,
A beast,
A life for a life -
Replaced with such ease.

This one is all over the map... in a good way. There is great expression here and you were able to say so much with so little. Always a talent, I'm curious about the Mourning Phish line. I don't know if it's meant to be the band but I toured with those boys for a few years, I caught quite a few shows.
