Badh Love
The black doves are flying, crying above
-Dark little souls doomed to hate,
Never know love.
They tell me heed them as a warning,
Oh but I don't heed,
I just don't care.
Let them heap me with their mourning,
Badh crows will fly to defend my flare.
Can't you feel the tides are turning,
Drag you from where you want to be.
Oh but if you let it take you under,
My friend you'll find you're swimming free.
Now the white doves flock the vision
-Bright angels lifting high above.
They say see them as good feelings,
Blinding Evil with their love.
Oh but I can't see,
However hard I try.
I can feel my heart start reeling
As the crow cloud makes the doves cry.
Can't you feel the breakers churning,
Keep you from the calming sea.
Oh but if you work like thunder,
My friend you'll find you're swimming free.

Bekah, and an interesting little dove I saw on the side of the road while stopped at a stop light on my way home from school...it was all black & greeeezy. I'd never seen a black dove before. Reminded me of you right away Bekah!

Hee hee, all hail the Badh, black crow goddess of violence and the doomed fate of all men! Such is the way of dark love, I suppose, for she is also the goddess of passion...
Just my little take on the poem, I love the contrast between the white doves and the black, as if one side is shielding your site from all things light and good. I think it's cool that you put in a reference to the sea as well, for badh always makes me think of the sea, for some reason; vast and cold with dark depths that go beyond our own imaginations. Very cool poem.
So sorry it took me so long to comment on this, I should be ashamed since you dropped my name in the description ( thank you!). There's about 100 deviations in my messages box that I haven't looked at, one of the few drawbacks of having too many devfriends.
